Welcome To www.cambrianairways.co.uk

Garry 2006   My Name is Garry Hillard and I worked for Cambrian Airways in the Printing & Stationery Department at Rhoose Airport in the mid 1960's, I am now also myself in my 60's and I am trying to Record and Save all the information I can on Cambrian and its associate Companies for posterity, I would appreciate any information and assistance I can get from anybody who can provide me with information for this period in History, ( 1950's to 1970's ).

Hopefully the site will take you back in time when Flying was fun and an Adventure, it was a time of optimism for the future and a bright new world after the second world war, into the sixties when Technology and innovation promised a better life for all, on to the seventies and consolidation.  But now in the 21st Century I wonder where it all went wrong what with the Hi-Jackings and Security in the last quarter of the 20th century and the loss and decline of so many well known carriers that seemed to have a bright future then.

I grew up with such promise and optimism for the future and that we had learnt
the lessons of the past, but I look around me now and see nothing but decline, is it to late to change, or are we capable of change. We still seemed to have failed to learn the lessons of History, !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Garry.
